Hitting is all about timing!
A batter must have the proper timing to know when to start their swing and when to shift their weight. This is achieved by watching the pitcher's arm and release of the ball. An arm-style pitching machine (Iron Mike) is the only type of pitching machine that gives you the same sense of timing. That is why the BAT Cage will have an Iron Mike pitching machine in each batting cage. With each pitch, you will see the machine's arm wind up and release the ball. It is this realistic nature of indoors that you can use outdoors against live pitching.
