Ron Pruitt has been teaching or coaching for 24 years since retirement from professional baseball. Ron has a degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science from Michigan State University. He was a 2-Year All Big Ten selection at MSU from 1971 - 1972. An All-American Catcher in 1972, he was the 2nd pick in the 1972 Draft, picked by the Texas Rangers. Ron Pruitt was an All-Star Catcher in 1974 Eastern League (AA), All-Star Catch in 1973 & 1975, Pacific Coast League (AAA). He spent 9 years in the Major Leagues with the Texas Ranger, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox and the San Francisco Giants.
